Hi, My name is Shabi. I'm a 21 year old boy from Ranchi, Jharkhand. I'm a mass communication student at the university.
Well right now I'm associated with around 4 organisations at once. I used to be the coordinator of Friends of Freedom, Ranchi. A youth group, working for a change in the society in terms of Economic, social, political and personal values. Now I'm done with my tenure as the coordinator, the group members have chosen me as the Mentor.
Then I'm a content writer for Times Group. The publication that I write in is 'Jharkhand Plus' which comes as a supplement with Times of India and Economic Times. I usually write under two heads - Art & Culture and Music. So I'm usually running for interviews with artistes, rock bands and singers who've proven themselves good at local and national level and maybe sometimes international level as well. Its fun doing this kind a work.
Then I'm the secretary of IFAN(India FNF alumni network). A national network of individuals who've attended programmes organised by Friedrich Naumann Stiftung, a German organisation. This network is a kind of market place for associated individuals and groups to exchange resources and work for mutual benefits.
I'm a proud member of Liberal Youth Forum of India, a national network of very potential youth who believe in liberal ideas and want these ideas to find a place in the socio-economic scene of India.
I have been involved in production of documentary films and a short feature film as well which couldn't be completed anyway because of some reasons. I have organised workshops, seminars, film screenings and cultural festivals mostly at local level and once at a national level. I'm a very good speaker and I take sessions with young people of Friends fo Freedom group Ranchi.
So that's me on the professional terms. Now the idea to have a personal blog came to me when I was posting something on one of my groups blog. I thought that I have a life of my own other than the org.s that I work for, everybody has and blogs are a great medium of expression so thats how i ended up making this one.
